Letter No. 26

To GDC at Garroulds. Postmarked - Bungay - 19th October 1870

Broad Street House
Oct. 19th 1870

My dear George
I hope you will excuse me not writing before but I have had no news to tell you, and have but little now. I had a letter from Mamma yesterday morning which was the first I have had from her since I came back at Michaelmas, she told me she only met with a servant on Monday, she also told me she thought of going to Mettingham some day this week. I had a letter from Cousin Fanny not long ago, she said they had a great many walnuts, and wished I was there to help crack some. I suppose you have already heard that Anna & Kate go to school at Mr. Hugman's. There are only eight weeks tomorrow before we go home for the Christmas holidays. I shall be very glad to have a letter from you whenever you have time to write. Now dear George I have no more news to tell you, so must conclude with my best love to you
Believe me
your loving sister
Ellen
