Dear George,
I have no doubt your Father will write to Mr. Garrould in a week or two, we shall indeed be pleased to see you. Report says that Haward is broke but if not, he is not far off. You will see by the paper how our Laxfield cricketers get on. The dear old maids were fairly pleased with the twins, they say they are charming children. Father hired his harvest men on Saturday. I hope we shall have a good harvest. We have had delightful rains for the second crops of clover & beet & turnips, they look well. I expect Harry Freeman is pretty big at London. I think Aunt Maria is silly. Now my dear boy with love from Mama
