Sights of Syria - October 2004 - p1

We visited Syria in October 2004. Among the many places visited were, of course, Damascus and towns and sites ranging from Bosra in the far south to Palmyra and to Aleppo in the north. In the western coastal region we also visited the strange 'spindle' tombs at Amrit and several Crusader Castles such as Krak des Chevaliers, Castel Blanc at Safita and Saladin's castle at Saône or Qala'at Salah ad-Din.
