South Africa - December 2008 - Page 1/3

Our visit to South Africa was really inspired by watching a programme on BBC TV about the
"Gardens of the World" presented by Monty Don, particularly Kirstenbosch, the South African
National Botanical Gardens near Cape Town.
In the event we took a tour of the "Garden Route and Winelands" with Voyage Jules Verne in
early December 2008. This covered Cape Town and the area north west as far as Plettenberg
and then back inland via Oudtshoorn and the Little Karoo to Franschhoek and Stellenbosch
 before returning to Cape Town.
